Marketplace Terms and Operating Policies

These terms govern the CT Video Services creator marketplace, customer project requests, creator profiles and applications, assignment status, creator compensation and payment tracking, sponsored-content workflow, and public company-information area. A project-specific quote, production agreement, creator assignment, release, license, confidentiality agreement, or other signed writing controls when it conflicts with these website terms.

1. Platform role and no automatic agreement

CT Video Services organizes project requests, production review, creator matching, customer communication, delivery milestones, customer-payment status, and creator-payout status. Posting, applying, receiving a recommendation, profile approval, or access approval does not create a booking, employment relationship, independent-contractor relationship, partnership, agency, investment offer, or guarantee. A written project or creator agreement must be accepted before work begins.

2. Accounts, age, identity, and access

Marketplace accounts are for people age 18 or older. Sign in identifies the account holder; it does not verify a license, business, insurance, background, financial eligibility, or authority to bind an organization. Provide accurate information, protect account access, and notify CT Video Services about unauthorized use. Roles and access may be limited, suspended, or revoked for safety, fraud, legal, quality, privacy, or policy reasons.

3. Customer Project Terms

Customers must be authorized to request the work and provide accurate scope, date, town, venue, access, budget, deliverables, approval authority, rights, safety, and contact information. A submitted project remains private until CT Video Services approves any public, personally-identifiable-information-free creator listing. Customers may not request unlawful recording, deceptive endorsements, undisclosed surveillance, infringement, dangerous conduct, discrimination, or platform circumvention.

4. Creator profiles, applications, and assignments

Creators must accurately describe skills, availability, travel, equipment, business status, and portfolio rights. Profile review is limited to the information and review status shown; it is not a continuing guarantee. Applying does not guarantee an offer. Before accepting, the creator must review the scope, schedule, location, locked creator earnings, expenses, platform/production portion, deliverables, revisions, usage rights, safety requirements, cancellation terms, classification, insurance, taxes, and payout conditions.

5. Worker classification and engagement approval

Calling the service a gig app, selecting a marketplace label, or signing a contractor form does not decide worker classification. The actual relationship and applicable federal, Connecticut, and other law control. Before an assignment begins, CT Video Services must record one approved engagement path: employee payroll or independent business. Employee-payroll assignments use the applicable wage notice, timekeeping, minimum-wage, overtime, regular-payday, workers’-compensation, withholding, and payroll process. Independent-business assignments require a genuine independently established business relationship, appropriate control and economic-independence review, tax onboarding, insurance or permits when applicable, and negotiated written terms. A creator may not begin work until the required classification and onboarding review is complete.

6. Creator earnings and platform/production portion

Every assignment offer must identify the approved engagement path and show the creator’s gross compensation for the accepted scope. For a qualifying independent business, the written offer locks project earnings and separately discloses any platform, production-management, customer-acquisition, equipment, insurance, editing, or administrative portion retained by CT Video Services. For an employee, the wage or salary basis, covered time, payroll deductions, reimbursements, and payday are governed by the payroll documents and applicable law, not by an independent-contractor payout screen. Approved written change orders may adjust future scope and compensation before changed work begins, but may not erase wages already earned.

7. Customer payment, payroll, and independent-business payout

Customer invoicing, employee payroll, independent-business payables, and website status labels are separate records. Employees are paid through the approved payroll schedule for compensable work regardless of whether a customer has paid CT Video Services. For a qualifying independent business, the written assignment may make delivery approval, cleared customer funds, required tax or payment onboarding, and resolution of a documented refund, chargeback, cancellation, fraud, or dispute hold conditions of a project payout only to the extent permitted by applicable law. A HubSpot stage, invoice, pending card charge, or customer promise is not cleared payment. Eligible, approved, processing, paid, held, failed, and reversed are distinct states. Payment and payroll providers may impose lawful verification and settlement timing. The website does not store card or bank credentials and does not offer escrow.

8. Cancellations, changes, refunds, chargebacks, and disputes

Project-specific written terms control deposits, cancellations, rescheduling, weather, access failures, overtime, changes, kill fees, refunds, expenses, chargebacks, and ownership of work completed. Report a dispute promptly through CT Video Services. We may pause unperformed assignments, delivery access, public listings, and unpaid independent-business payouts while reviewing records; an employee wage may not be withheld merely because a customer payment is disputed. A customer refund or chargeback does not itself reverse a creator payment already recorded as paid. Any actual external recovery or payout reversal requires a separate provider record, reference, legal review, and audit event. Payment and payout events are preserved rather than deleted. Any processor dispute is also subject to the processor’s terms and evidence deadlines.

9. Safety, conduct, accessibility, and incidents

Customers and creators must provide a lawful, professional, harassment-free, discrimination-free, and reasonably safe environment. Share known hazards, restricted areas, minors, crowds, weather, travel, parking, power, rigging, drone, weapons, pyrotechnic, water, animal, accessibility, and emergency information before acceptance. No person must continue work they reasonably believe presents immediate danger. Report incidents to CT Video Services and emergency services when appropriate. The marketplace is not an emergency-dispatch service.

10. Content, portfolio, copyright, privacy, and releases

Do not upload, link, publish, or deliver material you do not own or have authority to use. The applicable agreement must address recording consent, model and property releases, music, trademarks, licenses, confidentiality, embargoes, raw footage, edits, portfolio use, retention, takedown, and final distribution. Customer identity, exact private venue, messages, applications, earnings, and deal-room information may not be publicly disclosed without authorization. Send copyright, privacy, or takedown requests to bookings@ctvideoservices.com.

11. Influencer endorsements, sponsored content, and reviews

The customer must identify the sponsor, every material connection, supplied claims, required talking points, and any product or consideration before assignment. The written assignment must state the exact plain-language disclosure, where it must appear, and who approves it. The creator must confirm the disclosure plan before acceptance, place the disclosure with the endorsement, and attest at submission that the required audio, visual, caption, and platform-label steps were completed. For video, disclosure should appear in the video—preferably in both audio and visual form—and not only behind “more” text. CT Video Services or the customer may require prepublication review, correction, re-posting, or takedown and may retain the approved brief and compliance record. Platform labels do not replace clear disclosure. Reviews must reflect real experience, may not be conditioned on positive sentiment, and may not use fake followers, views, testimonials, or engagement. Creators may not promote securities through marketplace assignments.

12. Taxes, licenses, permits, insurance, and expenses

Written assignment terms identify responsibility for taxes, payroll withholding, information reporting, permits, releases, licenses, insurance, equipment, travel, parking, assistants, and reimbursable expenses. Employee onboarding may require payroll forms and work-authorization verification; qualifying independent businesses may require Form W-9 and external vendor or payment onboarding. Marketplace eligibility does not prove compliance. Do not send tax-identification numbers, government IDs, bank details, or payment credentials through project descriptions or messages; use the approved payroll, tax, or payment provider when requested.

13. Recommended-fit methodology

The current owner-assist score uses requested skill overlap (35 points), current availability (20), Connecticut location fit (15), whether a portfolio link was supplied (10), verified paid completion history (up to 10), and whether the creator applied to the project (10). It does not judge portfolio quality automatically and does not use protected characteristics, follower counts, public-review totals, or popularity. The score is not an automatic assignment or quality guarantee; the owner reviews the complete profile, scope, classification, and terms and may override the ordering. No creator is promised placement or work.

14. Investor relations, governance, and counsel gate

The public investor-relations page provides general company and governance information only. CTVideoServices.com is not a broker-dealer, funding portal, investment adviser, securities exchange, crowdfunding service, recommendation engine, or transaction platform and does not accept investment funds, commitments, subscriptions, securities orders, escrow, suitability records, accreditation documents, or transaction-based compensation. Public pages do not list offering terms. Private access requests, opportunity creation, access approvals, and information-room pages are disabled. No owner checkbox or website content change may enable them. Any future private workflow requires documented securities-counsel approval of the exact exemption, audience, content, intermediary, disclosures, acknowledgements, audit trail, expiration, revocation, and record-retention process before engineering enables it.

15. No securities promotion by creators

Creators and influencers may not use this marketplace assignment system to advertise, endorse, tout, rank, or solicit an investment or security. Any future securities communication requires separate securities-counsel approval and the legally required intermediary and compensation-disclosure process.

16. Electronic communications and notices

By submitting a requested action, you agree to receive operational email or other selected communications about that request. Marketing consent remains separate. Electronic status is informational until confirmed by any required signed agreement. Policies may change prospectively; material changes will carry a new effective date or required acknowledgement.

17. Privacy and retention

Marketplace data is handled under the Privacy Policy. Public profiles are opt-in and owner-approved. Private project, application, classification, assignment, payroll-reference, payout, dispute, and historical investor-access records are excluded from public sitemaps, search indexing, and offline caches. Records may be retained for contracts, wage and hour compliance, accounting, tax, dispute, fraud, security, access, and legal obligations, then deleted or de-identified when no longer needed.

18. Accessibility and contact

CT Video Services aims to provide keyboard, screen-reader, text-scaling, reduced-motion, and mobile access. If a marketplace feature creates a barrier, email bookings@ctvideoservices.com or call or text (203) 512-8339 and describe the feature and accommodation needed.

19. Legal review boundary

Website copy is not a substitute for project-specific contracts, securities counsel, employment/classification review, payroll, tax reporting, privacy assessments, background-check procedures, insurance, processor agreements, or regulatory filings. CT Video Services may require additional documents or decline a workflow until those requirements are satisfied.
