Trash Panda Pictures’ family film Not My Dog was filmed largely in Vernon’s Rockville section and set for festival and digital releases.

The film follows a young girl and a black German Shepherd and was produced by South Windsor-based filmmaker Danny LeGare, with Connecticut actor Rylie Pennington in the lead.

Production used a fast, collaborative model designed around young performers and completed its planned scenes in 17 days, making the project a useful local case study in efficient production.

The film was scheduled for a Vermont Film Festival screening, New York premiere, and fall digital release; current availability should be checked with Trash Panda Pictures.
