Donn ‘Q’ Quijada's Sept. 4 Toad's Place event is seeking sponsors and a volunteer media team while preparing world premieres of SOLACE and MEATHEAD.
The Screening Party is building a full Connecticut creative-industry night around the world premieres of SOLACE, directed by Rook, and MEATHEAD, directed by Q and Frankie Fire, at Toad's Place in New Haven on Friday, September 4.
The 9–9:30 PM music-video showcase credits Rook, Frankie Fire, and KATT BRGNDI. The packet names Donn ‘Q’ Quijada and Maserati Ray as producers, while public billing identifies Kaleidodope and In The Cut as presenters.
Organizers are seeking remaining sponsors at levels beginning at $250 and extending through $2,250+ presenting opportunities. The official packet describes verbal recognition, event signage, big-screen and promotional placement, sponsor tables or banners, product and merchandise activation, email visibility, branded screen content, red-carpet placement, potential category exclusivity, and on-stage photo opportunities depending on tier and current availability.
The campaign projects 500+ guests, a mailing list exceeding 3,000 contacts, and a combined partner social audience of more than 100,000. The prior music-video screening reportedly drew more than 250 people in one night.
The packet conditions film end-credit placement on sponsorship being complete at least two weeks before the screening—by August 21 for the September 4 date. Because that cutoff is immediate, this coverage does not promise the benefit. Availability, artwork requirements, and production timing must be confirmed directly with Donn before a sponsor commits.
A separate CTFTVA volunteer call asks for setup help and a media team that can record interviews, host interviews, and edit social clips. CTFTVA will be represented, but the Alliance has explicitly stated that the Screening Party itself is not an official CTFTVA event. Donn produces it through his creative-production network.

What this means for the people making media
News becomes useful when it connects back to action. A new production creates opportunities for local crews and vendors. A venue story can become a location or broadcast lead. A policy change can change a budget. A community story can become the next documentary, campaign, interview, or music video.
